FESTIFRANCE 2011

It's a common thing in my faculty when students from each department held their own festival. for example, the German department always held KULTURFEST each year, and many other festival from different culture which represented by the language they're learning. but my department, the french, never held one. so this year, pretty much our (class of 2008) last year in college, my friend Saviq decided to make the very first event held by french students and called it FESTIFRANCE. at first some of us was very pessimistic, we yelled and argued towards each other, got a very serious warning from our lecturer (cos they thought that we can't make it) and some of us decided to bailed out cos this event is very stressful. but then, when it happened, tears of joy and happiness came from our eyes. we made it. Me, Nindia, Falia, Atika, Nabila & Fatima were working on the fashion show division. it wasn't easy since we're running low on budget. but we didn't give up, and at the end of the day, we get the most compliment! they said this is the best runway show held in UI so far. they said they never see the room that full before. they said they don't care how much money we asked if the result is as badass as that. i am seriously proud with my team. this wouldn't happened without our teamwork. and i salute the other division too (talk show, music, short movies, ballet dance, exposition, etc) for pulling quite a show too, wouldn't make it without them either. all of the hard work paid off, seeing everybody so happy and so relieved at the end of the show brings happiness tears to my eyes. before the event, i really wished that it'll be over soon. but now, i really miss having the crew around, i miss coming home late cos i have to attend the meeting, i miss running around panicking looking for equipment. it was the sweetest memories before i graduate, and i hope our junior can continued this legacy.
here are some photos from the fashion show event:

but still, it was fun having sleepover with my highschool buds. last time we did this, it was new year 2007.
i do miss these people, there will always be something to talked about everytime we gather round.
i guess it's true what they said, nothing beats highschool friendship.

amigos por siempre

my college bestfriends are pretty much my life right now. since we've sorted out our problems and talked about what we like nor dislike towards each other, we've became more solid than ever. they're the funniest people I've ever met in my entire life, and for some of them, next term would be their last term studying at college. i just wished we still have time to spent together.... i don't wanna be separate from them too soon :(

sunday brunch

Sunday brunch with my sister at appetite cafe. normally this cafe is fully booked on weekend, so we just crossed our fingers when we decided to go here. surprisingly it was empty. perhaps jakarta teenagers was too wasted and hangover from last nite. the place was lovely, i went there once for the arisan but it was really crowded so i didn't enjoyed it. but yesterday was perfect! i ordered banana creme brulee with caramel paste on top served with vanilla ice cream for desserts and i can tell you, for 20 years i've lived and tried many creme brulee, i think theirs are the best in town!

baby boy

Last Saturday was one hectic day. the last round of my highschool arisan was held in pan d'or. since its the last round, everyone should come. the dresscode was colorful, which is fine by me coz i've got plenty of colorful formal clothes. but some of my friends had troubles with the dresscode because they mostly only have black or white clothes. we chatted, we laughed, we reminiscing the old times...... i know i've said this like million times but i do miss highschool so friggin much :"(on that day, another wonderful event happened. my baby nephew was born. actually he wasn't due till next week, but my sister keeps having the contraction since morning (and she didn't knew how contraction's feels like) so when she visited the hospital, she go straight onto the labour. and here it is, my newest nephew, Rabindranath Devlin Zaidanie :))

URBANITE NYLON MUSIC FESTIVAL

NYLON Indonesia and Urbanite Asia join forces last night and held this mega event called Urbanite NYLON music festival. the performers are 10 most promising local bands such as hightime rebellion, angsa & serigala, bottlesmoker, swimming elephants, roman foot soldiers, ndeesaster, jirapah, shore, and l'alphalpha. and also, this indie neo pop duo from Manchester, HURTS. i became a volunteer who organized the rundown of the event and taking care of the bands. my favourite is Jirapah because the vocalist, Ken, is very friendly and funny. There's also the NYLON mall where people can shop and eat, and also a pop-up embassy lounge for the afterparty. in conclusion, yesterday was legendary, and i'm having sooo much fun :D

The Radio Department

the radio dept, here, live in jakarta!!! God i'm so happy!! a first i kinda dissapointed with the venue, too small to held such a big concert with 700 spectators. the whole show i could only see the guittarist from the back angle because the stage is inside the restaurant and it was already filled with people. then after the show, i wanna say goodbye to a friend that's also playing after the radio dept. turns out the radio dept is on the second floor, giving atographs and taking pictures with people! so i took pic with them, here it is :
